Just show up

Yesterday, I was in a mood. I felt crappy because I didn't create something profound the day before, or, anything, for that matter. I didn’t feel like writing, sat there anyway, doodled, played around. Two hours later I emerged with a poem, a short story and characters and an idea fleshed out for another story.

I don’t say it’s like this every day. I just say show up anyway - and don’t leave! Just show up. Show up for your artist, your writer, filmmaker, singer, your actress, musician, potter, painter, whatever it is you’re drawn to. Just show up, and trust, and eventually, miracles will happen.
